Five classes

Empowerment-based self-defense and communication training. Offered year-round and scheduled on request, at your location or an arranged venue.

Public classes are for adults. Teens aged 16 and 17 are welcome with a parent or guardian's consent; the parent does not need to take the class. Introduction to Self-Defense for Trauma Survivors is for adults 18 and over.

For individuals and groups

Two women practice palm strikes on a hand-held pad.
I Just Want to Hit Something

Mostly physical: simple strikes on pads, plus ways to stay steady. A high-energy introduction to physical self-defense, roughly 80% hitting and 20% grounding. Learn to actually strike, with power and good mechanics, plus grounding tools to stay centered. Big energy, real release. Consistently our most popular short class.

Introduction to Self-Defense for Trauma Survivors

Mostly about staying calm under stress and setting boundaries with words, with a little physical practice: roughly 80% emotional, 20% physical. You learn to recognize your default stress response (fight, flight, freeze, fawn) and to move from any of them into focus. Grounding, body awareness, and supported verbal-boundary role play, with enough physical work to feel capable.
