Safety 101

Assertive communication and boundaries at work. Two trainers come to your workplace and work with a team that already works together. Staff practice clear, respectful ways to speak up: the difference between assertive and aggressive, and how to hold a boundary with a coworker, a customer or a client.

Staff sit in a circle in a meeting room during an on-site workplace training.

Who it is for

  • Teams that work together. Designed for the staff of any workplace.
  • Workplaces worn down by crossed boundaries. Less energy spent defending turf and taking things personally, more energy for the work.
  • Staff who deal with the public. Practice uses scenarios specific to your field.

“That’s not mean. That’s assertive. That’s a boundary.”

Julie Harmon, IMPACT executive director emerita
