Women's Basics Course
Strong. Confident. Powerful. Capable.
IMPACT Safety is offering a Women’s 20-hour Basics Course specially designed for women 18 and older.
IMPACT Safety teaches a unique form of self-defense. This is not a martial art. It is a powerful and practical approach for women to learn to defend themselves in one weekend.
The course includes training in awareness, boundary setting, de-escalation, and physical protection. You will learn strategies on dealing with difficult situations—whether a stranger who means you harm, a friend, coworker, or acquaintance. You will have the opportunity to learn powerful skills to stop a physical assault by practicing full-force on a padded instructor.
The IMPACT Safety Women’s Basics Course is a valuable experience for women who want to learn how to defend themselves against assault or are survivors of past trauma. Certified staff are trained in assault prevention and sensitive to trauma survivors. Class size is limited to ensure personalized instruction.
